Underage Teams

Ballycomoyle Underage.

The minimum amount of exercise recommended per child per day is one hour.
Team sports, in addition to giving your children this exercise, will also teach them to compete, to win and lose as part of a team. They will gain in self esteem and forge friendships which often last a lifetime.

Ballycomoyle GAA Club, your local Gaelic Football Club, can help give your children some of the exercise they require. We have a very active underage organisation with a strong emphasis on participation. Everybody gets their game.
Most of our underage coaches/mentors have taken part in “child protection in sport” awareness training and the club operates under the “code of ethics and good practice for children’s sport” as promoted by the The Irish Sports Council and the GAA.

About you ………

Are you new to the area ? Do you have children (Girls or Boys) who would like to get involved in gaelic football ? Maybe you have lived in the area for some time and now have children of footballing age. In either case pick up the phone and ring any one of the people at the foot of the page for details of our underage football, training and games. Click on any of the team pages to see what is happening with each team.

Social Scene.........

Ballycomoyle underage is not all about football. The Club also take part in Scór na nÓg . Further details can be found on the Scór page. We have had a day out during the Winter months in the last couple of years.
We had a very enjoyable trip to Croke Park and the GAA Museum in December 2005. In October 2006 we went North to Belfast to the W5 Interactive Science centre. You can see some of the photos on the photo pages.
