Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Young People in SportIt is important that all young players are valued and always treated with the highest level of respect. Their personal dignity and physical integrity are paramount and participation in sport should enable them to have fun, make friends and become better players. Cumann Luthcleas Gael believes that a youth centred approach should be adopted by everyone involved in the promotion and development of gaelic games at underage level. All county boards both men and ladies have signed up to this code of ethics and good practice for young people in sports. A young player is considered to be anyone under the age of 18. Ballycomoyle has also signed up to operate under the code. While members of the club are already operating under this code in practice, there are certain paperwork elements of it that have to be implemented on an ongoing basis as personnel change. All mentors and parents will be asked to sign the relevant code of conduct. |
