On Saturday evening of May 5th 2007 Karen Coyle who
looks after the younger players in Ballycomoyle on Friday evenings called
her charges together for their first game in the Ballycomoyle colours. A
visiting team from neighbouring Oldcastle, who are trained by Karen's friend
Éire McNamee, were the opposition. Both squads lined out proudly in their
club colours and Marius Reilly did an admirable job in refereeing a very
close game. We hope that this was only the first of very many games for
their clubs that these young people play.
