Our under 12 girls travelled to Multyfarnham to play the championship final on Saturday June 14th 2008.  The opposition was Ballinagore, who had beaten us earlier in the championship. From the word go the Ballycomoyle girls gave their all to this game with superb performances from all players.  For the first ten minutes Ballycomoyle dominated the game however no score resulted from the pressure. Eventually the scores came.    Ballycomoyle went into the break leading 2-1 to Ballinagore 0-1.The Ballycomoyle girls started the second half as they did the first  putting immense pressure on the Ballinagore defence.  Ballinagore finding it difficult to progress the ball past the midfield mark.  The final score Ballycomoyle 3-3 Ballinagore 0-2. Afterwards the Under 12D Perpetual shield was presented to joint captains Ruth Mulligan and Kelly Coyle.
